Placement Extensions

Here you can find a step by step guide on how to submit a placement extension

If you have live or finished placement on the portal that will need to be extended, you can do this in a matter of minutes. No need to enter all the placement details again!

Step 1

Choose the placement you would like to extend. Go to the Placement Period section and click 'Extend'.

Note that the placement can be extended is it is a live or has finished within 30 days of the extension.

Step 2

The portal will automatically generate the details for m the previous placement, saving you from entering the details again yourself. 

It is a good rule of thumb to double check all the detailed are up to date before submitting, as you cannot make changes once the extension has been submitted.

Step 3

Please enter the extension period.

The extension cannot start during the period of the previous placement, and must be within 30 days of the previous placement's end date.

Step 3

Once you are happy that all the details are correct, click the @submit' button in the bottom right corner and the then 'OK' when prompted.

Step 4

Great! You have successfully submitted a placement extension. We will do the same checks as we would for a usual placement.

Step 5

Once the checks have been completed and approved, you will receive a notification like the below. the extension is now live!
